Yesterday was my 23rd birthday. Gosh, being 23 years old makes me feel really old. Soon i will be so old that i cant even rem how old i am anymore. thats sad. i definitely have a phobia of growing old... wrinkles, teeth dropping out, failing eyesight... oh no!!!

Ok enough of my complains about growing old. I had an amazing time yesterday!

Firstly, Bertha, Jing^2 n Jo Anne sang me a bday song in English, Cantonese and Malay in the morning. (they are from Hongkong, China and Malaysia respectively) That was quite cool (esp the cantonese version).

At work, the section which i was supposed to clean had many checkouts, which makes it a tough day. but Alma, my manager, upon hearing that it was my birthday, assigned this new (tall) guy (Tom) from Czech Republic to help me! Woohoo! He pushed my heavy pushcart all the way and made ALL the beds of my section. So in the end i had a relatively easy day at work instead! heeheee.. Thanks alma! Not only that, Alma treated me to lunch at the restaurant in the lodge! Moreover it was paid lunch. Usually the time that we take for lunch would be deducted from our working hours but for yesterday, mine wasnt.. :D Oh and Alma surprised me with a Chocolate Truffle Cake and EVERYONE in the resturant sang a bday song for me. I was v embarrassed.

After work, i went about doing the usual after- work activities when Edward suddenly came and asked me and Cindy to go somewhere. Haha i knew that something was up his sleeve cos he used his windbreaker to cover my head..and he and cindy "kidnapped" me to a place..

It was a campfire!! It was damn damn cool and pretty and warm! Just right for a super super cold and windy night. My roommate called Joey organized this campfire and it was meant as a surprise.haha, even though i felt that something was quite fishy prior to that but it was still a good surprise..

So ard the campfire we had drinks (this wine cooler with strawberry and margarita flavour is my fave) and barbequed mushrooms and marshmellows. There were South american friends who sang and danced for us.. and i found out that my ex-colleague (who used to be in housekeeping but switched dept) had the same birthday as me! so we celebrated for him too! oh and the south americans sang me a bday song in spanish. COOL right??


My frens gave me a card, Manting gave me cookies...and my colleagues, Jim and Don from housekeeping actually bought me earrings and a very pretty jewellery box. I was so touched by their act!

After the campfire, there was another "surprise" in Kian soon's room. Wenhao brought a slice of cake back from the kitchen for me. haha, it was... chocolate truffle cake again! i am so getting fat. haha! but since it was my birthday, i discarded my diet plans and ate the cake! :D
