Rim- to- Rim

hey everybody!!

i finally hiked from RIM to RIM!!!
South Rim is about 24 hiking miles away from the North Rim.. and i walked all 24 miles!!(and ran a bit)

yes.. now, i can finally be called a "Rim- to- Rimer"! heh heh heh

on 4th july independence day, i started my hike from the North Rim at 430pm in the afternoon, right after work! Hiked down to Cottonwood which is about 7 miles away in 2 and a half hours, spent a night there(damn cold and only slept for 1-2 hours), and hiked the next day from 5am in the morning. FINALLY reached the South Rim at 5pm.

when i reached the south rim, i was like a walking zombie. haha, and according to my fren, i was cursing and swearing all the way up to south rim. that probably explains the rain that we encountered on the way up...

I stayed in South Rim for 2 nights and bunked in with Cindy's frens. South Rim is HUGE compared to North Rim and there was even a RAILWAY station! wow! and traffic jam!! haha.. it was an eyeopener for the north rim folks like us. On the last day, i took a shuttle bus back.. the journey was 4.5 hours ride. Imagine how far the two rims are!!

i think... i will never hike again.
hahaha! cos i had shoulder aches, muscle aches, everywhere ache throughout my body.

ok another update: i will be leaving grand canyon north rim on 20th july(last day of work is 19th july). So dun bother sending me any snail mails ok?? (sobs.. but no one sent anyway...) and probably when i start travelling i will update my blog less often. :)

Take care folks!

P.S: to Shultz>>Wow i cant believe u camped alone in Cottonwood. You muz like solitude huh? :P Jim said he tried to call you last night or something but you didnt pick up ur phone. He wanted to know if u found a job yet. We are still heading for Las Vegas on 20th July. Come back and join us!! heehee.. MISS YA, BABE!
