ramblings

Good Morning! pls update me on sg news. thx..

The weather is so dry here that my face is peeling like mad and i use so much moisturizer and i bring my lip balm whereever i go. In fact i think i will run out of my supplies soon. Please send some moisturizer or lipbalm to me here at north rim. Thankyou.. The weather here is very cool tho, like genting.. or a colder version of genting. I sleep at 8-9pm every night freaking early and i get up at like 6am cos the sky is already damn bright and the sun is already out. The food is good here. and the lodging is good. We have our own toilets! The only downside is no cellular network and only 2 computers that is constantly being used by other ppl which explains why i have to wake up at 5 am today so that i can use the computer.

we went to Santa Monica in Los Angeles on the first day that we arrived here for a while. There were so many shops which i would want to go back to shop shop shop! Like abercrombie and fitch, gap, american eagles, etcetc.. too bad my backpack is heavy as hell or i would have shopped then. At Santa Monica the scene is picturesque. You can see people strolling around and walking their dogs just like in a postcard. There were several ppl who approached us there. There was this black guy who wanted to sell us his cd which he recorded himself for US$5 and when we declined his offer he even tried to lower the price to $3.And there were many ppl trying to give us free tix to watch shows but we didnt dare to take up the offer, who knows what kind of shows were that. But generally the Americans are very very friendly. We took the Metro (public bus) and had to change a few times to get to our destination. But the drivers were very friendly to us and even the passengers or the ppl at the bus stop and they would make sure we get up the correct bus and get down the correct stop. The buses here are very unique too cos there are racks in front of the buses to place bicycles. So when u want to board a bus with ur bicycle, it is actually possible.

here at north rim grand canyon, the whole atmosphere is very laidback. you see ppl in their trailers( like caravans) and they just sit ard in the open and chit chat. and there is a grp of guitar playing folks that congregate every night and start singing.

Oh i want to tell everyone abt my greyhound experience. On the way here, we took a long 12 hr bus ride on a greyhound(name of the bus) and the experience was amazing. we heard terrible stories of the greyhound but it was not as bad as we thought. It is random sitting so you can sit anyway you like on the bus. The driver will try to make sure the bus is full before driving and sometimes if someone takes up two places(like put his bag on another seat) then the rest of the passsengers on the bus would call out at him and ask him to move so that other ppl can sit. Amazing. and when we were travelling late at night, the lights were off and everyone was sleeping but there was this black guy who suddenly played his music loudly and everyone just ignored him. amazing that no one scolded him.

ok i going to sign off now byebye

p.s: i have not been bullying gg. n i cant post any photos cos it will take a long time to transfer and other ppl are waiting to use the comp. oh the breakfast smells good i will go eat now.
